Glenda Ruth Klamer, age 76, of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Minnie Klamer, her brother Norman Klamer and brother-in-law John Vander Band.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters Maynard (Marjorie) Klamer, Lorraine Vander Band, Marian Klamer, Lois (Ralph) Smalligan, Vernon (Barbara) Klamer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks to Heartland Crestview Care Center for their care, spirit of kindness and special love given to Glenda and also the doctors and nurses at Metro-Health for their compassionate care. Glenda touched many lives and will be remembered for her faith in God. She can now rejoice and be able to hear and sing praises for the first time in her life. Glenda touched our lives and will be lovingly missed.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave., with Pastor Donald J. Vander Klok officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Cook Funeral Home (Byron Center Chapel), 2067 84th St., Byron Center, and one hour prior to service at the church.
