Gene Breckon

August 25, 1929 ~ June 5, 2017 (age 87)

BRECKON -  Gene Breckon, age 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 5, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Breckon and his son Gregory Jon Breckon. 

Gene will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Gale and Bill Wind and Julie and Ron Heethuis; his grandchildren Matthew and Sarah Wind, Stefanie and Praveen Perni, Justine and Case Roelofs, Jason Vanball and special friend Mekenzie; his great-grandchildren Nolan, Emmersyn and Finley Wind and Reid Perni. 

Gene and Jean were roller skating champions in their younger days.  They shared a wonderful life together raising their family.  Gene retired from Steelcase after many years.  He enjoyed boating and golfing.  For several years, he served on the board of the Great Lakes Senior Golf Association.  Gene loved his family very much. 

A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville with visitation prior to the service beginning at 5:30 PM.  Rev. Rodney Otto will officiate.  Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
